Human Rights

At the end of the second World War, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly.  This declaration guarantees fundamental and universally protected rights which are applied on a permanent basis at the global and regional levels.  

On December 10 of 1948, representatives with different legal and cultural backgrounds from all regions of the world came together to create a common standard for all the people and nations of the world.  The atrocities of the first and second World Wars made people realize that evil exists and there needed to be a basic standard.
